ON DEMAND Children with Cholestatic Liver Disease: Nutrition

Children with cholestatic liver diseases have unique nutritional requirements. Without bile reaching their intestines, they often suffer from fat-malabsorption and associated consequences. As a result, they require formulas with special fat preparations, as well as intensive monitoring to ensure adequate growth. They also often have fat-soluble vitamin deficiencies requiring aggressive supplementation. In this webinar, nutritional considerations in children with cholestasis will be discussed, with special emphasis on nutritional support and vitamin/micronutrient deficiencies.

Supported by educational grants from Albireo, Mirum and Travere.
