Bowel Sounds: Jim Squires, MD - Pediatric Acute Liver Failure
In this collaborative episode with JPGN, Drs. Peter Lu and Jason Silverman talk to Dr. Jim Squires, the first author of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Position Paper on the Diagnosis and Management of Pediatric Acute Liver Failure published recently in JPGN. Although this is a complex syndrome and topic, the discussion highlights important principles to consider and an initial approach to patients with this condition. Dr. Squires is Associate Director of Hepatology and Fellowship Director for Pediatric Transplant Hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh.
As always, the discussion, views, and recommendations in this podcast are the sole responsibility of the hosts and guests and are subject to change over time with advances in the field.
